Class on Wednesday, Sept17th was eye opening.  I was given another way to look at the definition of negotiation skills.  I thought of negotiating as a compromise in definition terms however, as for program planning it means a win win situation.  Everyone must be the winner.  No one gives up anything.

This session was very informative.  I was able to steal very good ideas for my personal program plan while giving ideas to others.  The discussion was engaging and very informative.  This class reminded of why I chose to attend a traditional college setting versus the new wave type such as a online program.  Refreshing…

On September 4th, class was focused around the various steps to program planning.  It was amazing to see just how different people think when it comes to training.  The tasks of a program planner was looked at very differently among the two groups.  My group was totally the opposite as far as our program planning focus.  This brought home to me how important it is to have a systematic approach to training and the importance of formal education.  It is never too late to learn!

My first night and it seems like I have been in a daze!

My organization is newly exploring the blogging capability.  My experience that will be gained through this class will help me out tremendously with the new technology that will be arriving soon at my organization.  I feel blogging is going to play a very big role in keeping similar organizations connected.  It will bridge the gap between the various training departments across my entire company.  It is going to promote a culture of best practices.

I feel this course is going to give me a more formal insight on creating a program plan whereas my working experience has given me industry knowledge.  There will be pockets of information that will be new and their will also be pockets that I am very familiar with.  The combination I feel will definitely give me an advantage educationally and professionally.
